Message in a bottle

Hello!

My namy is Keira Smith and I’m 19 years old. I come from Orlando in the USA.

I’m stuck on an island and the worst thing is there’s nothing to do, nothing to wear!

My cousin and I have been stuck here since the day we went boating.

I don’t really remember what happened because I hit on something and I know that the boat capsized off taking all our goods with it…

My cousin is fine and I only have a cut on my head…

This place is half desert, though it has lots of apples on the east side of Malibu, California, a very charming city where we usually go as a family.

We have been here for two months and 20 days… These days my cousin Jack and I did a lot! We built a charming and very big tree house. He helped me when it came to finding food!

Yet, we got any enemy on this island, a tigress which was very hungry and just wanted to attack us.

We spend our time playing games…

I feel sad, desperate, homesick and I miss my family and friends.

I’m afraid of dying of boredom or even just die with no goods or clothes.

When you read this message, please let our family know…

Hi! I’m Angelo!

I’m 15 years old and I’m lost on an island with nothing. I was on my way to the Netherlands when my boat sank.

To spend my time I like catching coconuts, walking on the sand and sunbathing. I’ve been here for a few weeks and I’m starting to worry that no one’s coming for me.

In terms of food I have caught some fish and ate coconuts, too.

Hello! My name is Rúben. I’m fourteen years old. I like playing video games and football.

I come from Portugal, Belver. I was travelling to Phoenix-Arizona when the accident happened, I was and still am accompanied by my friend. I have been stuck on this island for about three hours. I feel really bad, hungry and full of insect bites.

I spend my time exploring this island better and looking for fruit. My friend and I built a camp with a fire, beds made of palm leaves and rope and we also made a basket to put the fruit in.

I don’t really know where we are, but we are a long way from home. The climate is tropical, sometimes hot, sometimes cold, or even both. I miss my family and friends, the games, the internet and my bed…

16th JULY : Shipwreck
Need help…
Hello! My name is Edward Smith. I’m 15 years old. Now I want to play football with my friends but I can’t.

I was on a boat trip with my friends. We came from Portugal but I’ve never seen them again. I just remember that we were relaxing and out of nowhere we hit another ship, and then I woke up on this island!
I don’t know how long I’ve been here. I just want to leave! I feel alone in the middle of nowhere when I’m doing nothing. I swim a bit to spend the time and cool off. My lunch and dinner are always fish, and as a dessert I eat a banana! I have written help in the sand,… Maybe someone could see it…..

1st July 2020

Hi, I’m Anne and I’m writing this message with the hope that someday someone will be able to read it. I’m from Miami Beach and I love animals and the sea. I’ll tell you the story of my day today. Everything happened very quickly. In the morning my boyfriend and I went out on a boat to see the dolphins, but the boat broke down near an island and we had no way of telling anyone. We were lucky because we were not adrift in the sea and found an island to stay.

As soon as we arrived on the island we looked for food. Luckily here, there are many fruit trees so we will not be hungry for a few days. After finding food, we tried to make a hut, which wasn’t too bad – a protection from the wind and from the rain.

We have spent some time sightseeing and exploring the island and from what we saw, there are not many animals here! What I am most afraid of is the darkness of the night and the sun is setting, now…

I am worried about our family. They must be worried too, but I hope they find us. I miss our dog very much.

I hope they find us fast!

Anne

Food and health, unidade 2 do manual do 8º ano, iTeen da areal editores.

Hoje, dia 09 de fevereiro de 2021, começou assim a nossa aula de Inglês.

Please, stand up, go to the kitchen and pick a piece of fruit you like.

Then, come back to the computer as quickly as you can. Disse a professora.

4 minutes later, …

Os alunos mostraram para a câmara as frutas escolhidas e justificaram as suas escolhas!

I like apple because an apple a day keeps the doctor away!

I like orange because it contains vitamin C!

I like lemon because it is used in many recipes!

I like kiwi because it is good for my health!

I like banana because it contains potassium!

A professora aferiu as competências de speaking e os sorrisos dos alunos!

Motivados e surpreendidos perguntaram se podiam comer as frutas no final da aula.

E porque não? Comam e sejam felizes!

Assim se aprende Inglês em E@D!

Hello, I’m Luiz Fernando.

I’m a 15 year old Portuguese boy who just got wrecked on this island while travelling by boat with some friends. I don’t know anything about the others and I just see water and some banana trees.

I just wanted this to be a dream so I could play with my friends later, but it looks like it won’t happen until I get rescued.

This was going to be the best trip ever! We were all so happy to go to the Bahamas! It was our first big trip all together and suddenly it was over!

I am not sure how long I have been here, but I am tired of eating bananas and blackberries yet it is the only thing I see that I can eat. I think I will pick some sticks to be able to build a campfire to warm myself while I hope someone reads this letter and comes and rescues me.

Message in a bottle

So I ended up here on this island alone…

Well, hello!

I’m Carolina Costa and I’m 16 years old. I like to play basketball and stroll through places, cities, or countries I’ve never known. At this moment I’m on a lost island, Cíes Island!

Here, the weather is a mixture of hot and cold. The island is peaceful and calm, but at night it’s very scaring.

At this point I’d be with my best friend on an incredible weekend. I would go for a walk with her on this beautiful and super amazing island, but she got sick and had to stay in the hotel, so I decided to go for a walk when I got stuck on this island. I’ve been here for a few days… My family and the authorities should be looking for me, but for now I can’t see anything.

I’m hungry and very thirsty! I feel lonely, abandoned and sad, but I also feel peace and quiet! I spend my time alone walking. Sometimes I find some kind of animal I don’t know… I try to investigate, but there is no network. I’m trying to find a way out, but I’ve seen that I can’t find anything., I’m sitting looking at the sea with the desire to dive into that warm water, but I’m afraid! I’m trying to survive and getting away with it well, but sometimes it’s complicated! I’m hungry, I’m afraid to die here and know that nothing and no one wanted to know about me! I can’t communicate with anyone, no one is looking for me, so it seems that no one misses me,…
kisses

Carolina Costa, 10ºA
