Ken Block (born November 21, 1967, in Long Beach, California), a co-founder and recently appointed chief brand officer of DC Shoes. Block competed in many events, action sports, including skateboarding, snowboarding, motocross and rally racing mainly.
Ken Block DC Shoes was founded with Damon Way in 1994. DC Shoes began as a small business of creating shoes for skateboarders. Ken Block believes that, like other athletes, the skaters needed special shoes to compete at the highest level. Block and Way began to sell these shoes and the business began to grow in the world of action sports. In May 2004, DC Shoes was acquired by Quiksilver Inc. This transaction was part of the company two billion dollars of family sports. Today, DC Shoes is known by its wide variety of action sports gear, including shoes and other garments. To market these products and other associates Ken Block DC Shoes signed a list of world class athletes in action sports market, develop signature lines, and improve business growing DC Shoes.
