Avril Ramona Lavigne is a pop/rock singer and songwriter. She was born on 27 September 1984 in Ontario (Canada). When she was 16 she had signed a recording contract with Arista, receiving more than $2 milllion, and at 17 she did her 1^st  album breaking completely the music style of America after release it in 2002. Her 1^st album was called “Let Go” and made  Avril Lavigne the youngest female to reach the number #1 in top songs in the U.S.A.
In April 2007 she released another new album called The Best Damn Thing, and it was a big success as all the others, especially the songs : Keep Holding On and When You´re Gone.
  Avril says that her songs are about experiences she had when she was a teenager like most of her fans are, about things she hated or she liked.
  Avril Lavigne knew Deryck Whibley when she was 17 and they started dating when she was 19, he is a punk guitarist. Their wedding happened  in 2006 but 3 years later, in 2009 they divorced. Many people and magazines said it was because her ex-husband said he preferred spend her million dollars than work. Actually, the Canadian girl is single and will release another album on March 2011 called ” Good Bye Lullaby ” . One of this album´s songs (Alice)  is already released in a Disney´s film (Alice in Wonderland).
On 15 September 2010 Avril Lavigne created the Avril Lavigne Foundation R.O.C.K.S. (Respect, Opportunity, Choice, Knowledge and Strength) to help teenagers who have deficiencies.
Actually, Avril Lavigne is considered the princess of Pop Punk, and  already sold more than 35 million copies of her albums all around the world.
