Princess of Wales, third daughter of the eighth Earl Spencer, Diana Frances Spencer was born in Norfolk, England on July 10, 1961.
She becomes Lady Diana in 1975 when his father inherited the title of Count. She worked as a nanny in a kindergarten.
She married in 1981 at St. Paul’s Cathedral, at the age of 20, to Prince Charles, heir to the throne of Elizabeth II, in a ceremony televised to millions of people in various countries. They had two sons, Prince William, second in line, born in 1982, and Prince Harry, born in 1984.
Diana was charismatic. She was adored by the UK population. In 1992 she separates herself from Prince Charles, making official the divorce after four years. In 1997, on July 31, while visiting countries at war in support of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL), she won the Nobel Peace Prize. She died in Paris on 31 August 1997 in a car accident with her boyfriend, the Egyptian millionaire Dodi al-Fayed.
